Concrete Crumble
The client’s back steps were crumbling and beginning to look more like a ramp than a staircase. After removing all the loose and damaged concrete I build a wooden form and poured new concrete to restore the steps to their former (and safer!) glory.
This step is showing its age.
Let's do some chipping...
And more chipping...
Hmm, maybe I went too far? Nope.
Plywood and cinderblocks for support.
Feeling the pressure of these judging eyes while I work.
The corners were still being uncooperative so we'll call this a first pass.
After drying, chipped off any extra concrete and reinforced the corners.
Some deep scoring on the corner to help the new concrete hold.
Still wet but all done!
